Abstract

With the rapid evolution of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), vehicle safety technologies such as Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications, and Emergency Call (eCall) have become increasingly important. However, conventional evaluation methods assess these functions independently, making it difficult to analyze the interactions among driver behavior, vehicle control, and external communication systems. This paper presents the design and development of a Head Robotics-based integrated performance evaluation platform for DMS, V2X, and eCall. The proposed platform integrates repeatable driver behavior reproduction, multimodal data acquisition, AI-based vehicle event recognition, manufacturer-independent event standardization, and Digital Twin-based replay into a unified evaluation framework. In addition, a chassis dynamometer-based test environment and integrated evaluation scenarios are proposed to support future validation based on international safety assessment programs such as UNECE WP.29, EU GSR2, Euro NCAP and KNCAP. The proposed platform provides a comprehensive framework for evaluating next-generation vehicle safety systems in SDV environments.
